Overview
A window works as a system: the stay carries the sash, the lock pulls it onto the gasket, and the seals keep weather out. Change one part without the others and the window rattles or leaks. Sizing is driven by the sash weight — and a double-glazed sash is heavier than it looks.

What length friction stay do I need?
Roughly two-thirds of the sash height, then confirm against the stay’s load table for the sash weight. We keep the common sizes in stock.
Side-hung or top-hung stay?
Depends on the opening direction and where the handle sits — send the elevation and we’ll confirm.
Stays for heavy double-glazed sashes?
Yes — heavy-duty and egress stays for DGU sashes.
